Principal Daniel Somes
“Believe you can and you're halfway there."

Mr. Somes began his teaching career in 1998 as a fifth and sixth grade teacher at Boylston Elementary School in Boylston Massachusetts where he developed a passion for teaching Mathematics. After nine years in the classroom, he spent two years as a math specialist and coach at Chapin Street Elementary School in the Ludlow Public Schools until 2009. Most recently Mr. Somes served as Principal at Royalston Community School before making the move to join the learning community at SMK. He looks forward to building on the hard work that has helped so many students grow continued implementation of “walk-to” math.
Mr. Somes has a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Bentley College, and attended Worcester State College for two years to complete coursework to gain licensure as a classroom teacher. In 2008, he earned his Masters in Educational Administration.
Assistant Principal Pamela Iwasinski

Mrs. Iwasinski began her teaching career in the field of physical education & health at Ludlow High School. Most recently, Mrs. Iwasinski was Stanley M. Koziol’s very own physical education teacher for two years. She has also spent her time as an athletic trainer for both Ludlow High School and Ware Jr. Sr. High School assisting athletes in preventing and rehabilitating injuries on and off the field.
Mrs. Iwasinski grew up in Ludlow, Ma and currently resides in Chicopee, Ma. She has obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa, a Master’s Degree in Education from Springfield College in Springfield, Ma, and is currently pursuing her administrator’s license from the Massachusetts Elementary School Principals Association in Marlborough, Ma.
