Agendas, Minutes, and Newsletters.
We have found that the cost of paper and toner to send home newsletters and reminders is dipping into the money that could be better used for our school and our children. Due to this we are moving forward with providing our information electronically. If you do NOT have access to email please note that and your child will be on a list to receive a hard copy, however, if you do have an email address please provide it or email it to smkptosec@gmail.com and you will be added to a SMK PTO distribution email group.
The SMK PTO is selling Ware Indians magnets for $3.00 each. Magnets are available for purchase at the SMK Office, Superintendent's Office and sporting events.
Thank you for all of your continued support for our school and our children. Due to your help and support through volunteering and participating in fundraisers the children are able to go on field trips at no additional charge to you and receive materials that needed in their classrooms.
Here at SMK, we have an extremely active and productive PTO. Through various fundraising activities, we have been able to fund field trips and in-house programming for all grade levels, purchase new educational materials for classrooms, and assist teachers with their "out-of-pocket" expenses. Teachers are encouraged to write their wishes on a star and place it on our PTO bulletin board. We strive to grant every wish in order to enrich lessons and classrooms.
We have also funded many of the improvements to our school:
It is amazing how an enthusiastic group of parents and teachers can benefit the entire elementary school population. Be a part of this process by attending our meetings on the first Monday of each month at 6:15pm in the library. Free childcare is always available to make it easier for parents to attend.
